Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a fantastic wee find that I can't recommend highly enough. The rooms are cozy and clean, slightly dated but adding to the quaint and quirkiness of this place. The warmth in the room without even needing the central heating was a nice surprise. The hotel offers all the extras you'd expect from a chain hotel but in a locally run independent establishment.
The hotel offers a warm and cozy experience, even without central heating switched on. Despite some issues with decoration and cleanliness, it provides all the extras expected from a chain hotel, making it a solid choice for an independent establishment.
The hotel offers rooms of a very high standard for the price paid, two floors up from the bar with all the extras you might expect from a 'Chain' Hotel supplied in a locally run independent establishment. The service is extremely welcoming, with a small bar offering good beer and a separate restaurant serving nice meals. The location is ideal for exploring Stonehaven and touring Aberdeenshire. The dining experience, particularly the full Scottish breakfast, was very filling and enjoyable. However, bunk beds and double glazing would enhance the rooms further.
